Learning System Update
Bloomington New Tech High School is based on the New Technology Foundation (NTF) school model originally developed in Napa, CA. As part of our package from the New Tech Foundation, we use a computer learning system called PeBL. PeBL is the new web-based version of the original NTF learning system. Unfortunately, NTF has encountered some issues with the conversion to the new web-based system. These computer problems are not specific to our school, and they are unrelated to our being a new school or in a new building. They are an issue across the New Tech network of schools. As a result, PeBL will be temporarily inactive for students and parents. Teachers will be implementing a variety of strategies to work around these short-term issues. Since you will not have access to your student’s online materials, we will be posting a weekly outline of what we are doing in each class. Please feel free to contact your student’s instructors if you have any additional questions or concerns regarding class work. While inconvenient for you as well as for us, this interruption will not seriously affect our work here at Bloomington New Tech.
